I’ve been home since March 20th. It’s now July 1st and while our lovely bloated politicians continue to drone on and on about “phases” and such, I see no real signs that things will be back to normal anytime soon. Nevertheless as I continue to put this website together, I thought I would add a Blog section to provide updates on my creative work. This is an experiment, so please keep your expectations on my prose ability low…
I’m happy to say that the third Empty City Squares album continues to take shape as I spend my free time writing, recording more “demos”, and taking the demos I’ve already recorded into the next stage of detail, (developing arrangements and such), where they will eventually become the skeletal frames of the actual songs. I’ll try and write a dedicated post to my musical process. Over the last few years I have come to realize that my process tends to be the same regardless of the medium.
In the meantime, I’m also happy to report that the two new Empty City Squares songs,”Parmenides” and “History Rhymes”, that were released by Big Stir Records as part of their digital singles collection are now streaming everywhere including iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube.
